These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Chitran website and the purchase of products from our store. These Terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of the site.

Chitran reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Account Terms

When you create an account with us, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information at all times
• Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activity under your account

• Not share your account credentials with any third party

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information, have been inactive for an extended period, or are found to be in violation of these Terms.

3. Product Descriptions

We make every effort to display our products as accurately as possible. However, please note the following:

• All garments at Chitran are hand-painted, which means minor variations in colour, brushstroke, and detailing are natural and expected — and are part of what makes each piece unique
• No two pieces are ever identical, even within the same design
• Colours may appear slightly different on screen due to monitor settings and photography lighting
• Fabric textures and drape are described as accurately as possible, but may vary slightly from product to product

We do not warrant that product descriptions or other content on the website are error-free, complete, or current. If a product you receive is materially different from its description, please contact us at Chitran.thebrand@gmail.com.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices listed on our website are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

• Chitran reserves the right to change prices at any time without prior notice
• Prices at the time of order confirmation are the prices that will apply to your purchase
• We accept payment through the secure payment gateways available at checkout (including but not limited to credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking, and wallets)
• All payment transactions are encrypted and processed by third-party payment providers — Chitran does not store your card or banking details
• In the event of a pricing error on our website, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund

5. Order Acceptance

Placing an order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase. Your order is not confirmed until you receive an order confirmation email from us.

Chitran reserves the right to:

• Refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion
• Cancel orders where payment has not been successfully received
• Cancel orders where a pricing or product error has occurred
• Limit the quantity of items purchased per customer

If your order is cancelled after payment has been processed, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method within 48 hours with some cancellation charges, as applicable.

6. Shipping and Delivery

As every Chitran piece is painted entirely by hand, please allow 3 to 4 weeks from the date of order confirmation for your piece to be created, quality-checked, and dispatched.

• We ship across India (Pan India delivery)
• Shipping timelines are estimates and may vary due to courier delays, public holidays, or circumstances beyond our control
• Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email or WhatsApp
• Chitran is not responsible for delays caused by third-party courier partners after the order has been handed over for delivery
• In the rare event of a lost shipment, please contact us at Chitran.thebrand@gmail.com and we will work with the courier to resolve the issue

Shipping charges, if any, will be displayed at checkout before payment is made.

7. Returns and Refunds

All sales at Chitran are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges under standard circumstances, as every piece is a unique, hand-painted, made-to-order creation.

Exceptions apply only in the following cases:

• The item received is damaged due to shipping
• The item has a verified manufacturing or workmanship defect
• An incorrect item was sent

In such cases, please contact us within 2 business days of receiving your order at Chitran.thebrand@gmail.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and supporting photographs. We will review your claim and offer an appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Chitran website — including but not limited to product images, artwork, text, logos, designs, and photography — is the intellectual property of Chitran and is protected under applicable Indian intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from our website without prior written permission
• Use our brand name, logo, or imagery for any purpose without authorisation
• Claim ownership of any hand-painted design, artwork, or creative work belonging to Chitran

Any unauthorised use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.

9. Prohibited Uses

By using our website, you agree not to:

• Use the website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its related systems
• Submit false, misleading, or defamatory reviews or information
