At Chitran, every piece you order is painted by hand — from scratch, just for you. This means your garment does not sit in a warehouse waiting to be shipped. It is created after your order is placed, with time, skill, and genuine care. We appreciate your patience, and we promise it is worth the wait.
1. Order Processing Time
Once your order is confirmed and payment is received, your piece enters our hand-painting process immediately. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for your order to be painted, finished, quality-checked, and packed before it is handed over to our courier partner.
- Orders are processed on business days only (Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays)
- You will receive an order confirmation email shortly after purchase
- You will receive a separate dispatch notification with tracking details once your order has been shipped
- For custom or personalised orders, processing time may be slightly longer — we will communicate this to you directly

2. Shipping Methods
We ship all Chitran orders through trusted courier partners across India. Our courier partners are selected for their reliability and their ability to handle delicate garments with care.
- All orders are securely packaged to protect the hand-painted fabric during transit
- Orders are shipped via standard tracked courier service
- Express or expedited shipping may be available on request — please contact us at Chitran.thebrand@gmail.com for availability and charges
3. Delivery Timeframes
Once your order has been dispatched, estimated delivery timelines are as follows:
- Metro cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata): 2-3 business days
- Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities: 4-5 business days
- Remote or rural areas: 4-5 business days
Please note these are estimated timelines provided by our courier partners and are not guaranteed. Actual delivery may vary due to factors outside our control such as public holidays, weather conditions, or courier delays.
4. Shipping Costs
- Shipping cost is included in all the products and hence no extra charges are levied on the customer. For international order, extra charges are applicable as per the courier company policy.
Shipping charges, if any, are non-refundable unless the order is cancelled before dispatch due to an error on our part.
5. Tracking Your Order
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive:
- A dispatch confirmation email with your tracking number
- A WhatsApp message (if your number is registered with us) with tracking details
You can use the tracking number to monitor your shipment directly on the courier partner's website. If you face any difficulty tracking your order, please write to us at Chitran.thebrand@gmail.com with your order number and we will assist you.
6. Delivery Issues and Delays
We take great care in packing and dispatching every order. However, if you experience any of the following, please contact us immediately:
Non-delivery: If your order has not arrived within 3 business days of the estimated delivery date, please write to us at Chitran.thebrand@gmail.com with your order number. We will investigate with the courier and update you within 2 business days.
Damaged packaging on arrival: If your order arrives with visibly damaged packaging, please photograph the package before opening it and contact us within 2 days of delivery. This helps us file a claim with the courier and resolve the issue for you as quickly as possible.
Wrong address or failed delivery: Please ensure your delivery address is accurate at the time of placing your order. Chitran is not responsible for delays or non-delivery due to an incorrect address provided by the customer. Re-delivery charges, if applicable, will be borne by the customer.
Returned to origin (RTO): If a shipment is returned to us due to an incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, or refusal to accept, re-shipping charges will apply. Please contact us at Chitran.thebrand@gmail.com to arrange re-delivery.
7. International Shipping
At this time, Chitran ships within India only. We are working on making our pieces available to customers outside India in the near future.
If you are based outside India and wish to place an order, please reach out to us directly at Chitran.thebrand@gmail.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request on a case-by-case basis. Please note that international orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, and import fees applicable in your country — these will be borne entirely by the customer.
